Darwin is the capital of Australia's Northern Territory, located on the Timor Sea and closer to Southeast Asia than to any other Australian capital. It has a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons and is known for its multicultural population and resilience, having been rebuilt after Cyclone Tracy in 1974.
