Dallas is a major city in northern Texas, situated on the Trinity River in the blackland prairie region. It is a leading center for finance, technology, and telecommunications, and together with Fort Worth forms the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States.
