Chambersburg

Chambersburg is the county seat of Franklin County in south-central Pennsylvania, situated in the Cumberland Valley. It holds the distinction of being the only Northern town burned during the Civil War, destroyed by Confederate cavalry in 1864 and subsequently rebuilt.
