Carson City

Carson City is the capital of Nevada, situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range about 50 kilometers south of Reno. It was named after the frontiersman Kit Carson and played an important role during the Comstock Lode silver rush, with a historic U.S. Mint that operated from 1870 to 1893.
