Prior Lake is a city in Scott County, Minnesota, located about 40 kilometers southwest of Minneapolis. It is a suburban community centered around Prior Lake itself and is adjacent to the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, one of the wealthiest tribal nations in the United States.
