Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands, located in the province of South Holland on the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt river delta. It is home to the largest port in Europe and is known for its bold, modern architecture, much of the city having been rebuilt after extensive bombing in World War II.
